The Irish!
More than 900 people went to the National Building Museum for the Prevent Cancer Foundation 21st Annual Spring Gala, one of DC’s signature charity events, to raise over $1.6M. The gala honored Ireland: Legendary and Contemporary, and Irish Ambassador Anne Anderson was Honorary Patron. She’s surrounded by FOX News correspondent Jennifer Griffin and Prevent Cancer Foundation founder Carolyn Aldigé, and by former WJLA anchor Greta Kreuz.
The evening kicked off with a reception and silent auction. Guests were greeted to the Irish-inspired dinner by Irish step dancers and, after dinner, enjoyed dancing. The Foundation’s mission is saving lives through cancer prevention and early detection. Former Idaho Sen. and Gov. Dirk Kempthorne presented the 2015 Cancer Champion Award to Sen. Mike Crapo; his chief of staff, Susan Wheeler, accepted the award on his behalf. They surround Carolyn Aldigé.
