The Salt Line!
Last night we went to The Salt Line's grand opening party at the Dock79 Riverfront. The newest addition to Navy Yard is across the street from Nationals Park on the Capitol Riverfront. We snapped Long Shot Hospitality's Gavin Coleman, Paul Holder and Jeremy Carman, who own the restaurant, surrounding its chef, Kyle Bailey. The group co-owns the restaurant with Nationals star infielder Ryan Zimmerman, who was in San Francisco on the Nats' current road trip.
Guests got to try bites from the Chesapeake Bay-inspired menu with New England classics, like potted lobster, shrimp linguiça, coddies and mushroom toast. Here, The Salt Line GM Sean Griffin with CRR's Chris Floyd, Sharyn Dewatt and Tony Abreu.
Giacomo Delgado, chef Bailey and Carter Tipton shucked Maryland's Sweet Jesus, Virginia's War Shore, Cape Cod's Moon Rise and Rhode Island's Beaver Tails fresh raw oysters, which we washed down with the fish house punch with rum, cognac, brandy, assam tea, oleo and lemon.
The Salt Line officially opens on Thursday, June 1. Here, Massachusetts Society's Shino Yoshen, 94.7 Fresh FM's Kelly Collis, Taylor Pichette and Spotted MP's Maurisa Potts.
