Tom Toles!
We went to The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown for Art Soiree's 5th annual Political Cartoon Exhibit featuring Tom Toles, an exclusive one night solo exhibition of his 12 years as the Washington Post's editorial cartoonist.
Tom Toles, who's won a Pulitzer Prize, covers government, politics and society in six cartoons a week. Here, Miller Walker Real Estate’s Alex Walker, his wife Simply Genie founder Andrea Walker, and Art Soiree founder Sandro Kereselidze.
There was a performance by Tom Toles' band Suspicious Package. He's surrounded by fellow band members: former Time correspondent Tim Burger, Northwestern's National Security Journalism Initiative's Josh Meyer, and gov officials Bryan Greene and Christina Sevilla.
Art Soiree is donating part of the proceeds to French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Here, Aquicore’s Anna Buglaeva and Logan Soya with copywriter Lisa Kaneff.
Radiologist Mariza Clement, World Bank’s Joyce Ibrahim, attorney Maria Dooner, GW University Hospital’s Meghan Rane, and Dareen Almanabri.
