Tudor Place Garden Party!
We headed to Tudor Place in Georgetown for its 25th annual Garden Party. We joined patrons and VIPs earlier at the honoree reception here with supporter Lisa Beek, honoree and board president emeritus Tim Matz and president of the board of trustees Tom Crocker.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and access to an open bar with many refreshing cocktails. We loved the gimlet cocktail and mini shrimp and grits bites. Here, garden party co-chairs Blair Bourne and Sassy Jacobs.
This popular event is the museum’s most significant annual fundraiser, supporting education, operations and preservation of the historic house and the five and a half acre landscape where the party takes place. Here, Peter family descendant, board president emeritus and past honoree Phil Peter and his wife, Jania Peter, with Richard Stifel.
Here, Tudor Place executive director Mark Hudson with garden party committee members Deborah and Braxton Moncure. Guests enjoyed a beautiful evening as the weather stayed perfect for this important event.
During the cocktail reception, guests enjoyed an open bar and buffet of delicious food. Here, board member and past garden party chair Pam Jenkinson with garden party committee member Dede Caughman.
Board member JoAnn Zuercher joins Doug Green and his wife, Olivia Green, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Martha Peters.
Travis Holler, Richelle Castillo and Alfredo Flores contributed to this issue.
