WomenHeart Awards Dinner!
We headed to Union Station for WomenHeart's 17th Annual Wenger Awards Dinner.
We snapped one of the evening's honorees, Dr. Ileana Piña of Montefiore Medical Center, with the awards' namesake, Dr. Nanette Wenger of Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Piña was honored for Excellence in Medical Research.
The theme for this year’s awards dinner was “Bridging Communities: One Heart at a Time.” Here, Excellence in Medical Leadership honoree Tulane University Heart & Vascular Institute's Dr. Keith Ferdinand with the Mayo Clinic's Sharonne Hayes and Healthy Heart Community's Daphne Ferdinand.
The Wenger Awards are the nation’s premier event honoring individuals and organizations who are making extraordinary contributions to women’s heart health.
