World Affairs Gala!
We went to the Ritz-Carlton for the World Affairs Council's 36th annual Global Education Gala.
Secretary of Defense Ash Carter was honored with the International Public Service Award; he was also the keynote speaker. We snapped him with his wife, Stephanie Carter, Carsen Zarin, and Medal of Honor recipient Capt. Florent Groberg.
South African Ambassador Mninwa Mahlangu was honored with the Distinguished Diplomatic Service Award. He's with Embassy Liaison Jan Du Plain and National Press Club's Kevin Wensing. The World Affairs Council expands awareness of geopolitical, business, and civil society issues in our interconnected world.
National Geographic CEO Gary Knell received the Global Communications Award from Raytheon's David Trulio for their efforts to preserve world wildlife through innovative social media.
